The Library of the Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum originated as a collection of reference books, catalogs, reports, academic journals and magazines in the fields of the Thai, Southeast Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern and European ceramics including history, archaeology and museology, both in Thai and foreign languages, with the purpose of supporting ceramics research.

Collection Highlights
1. Thai and Southeast Asian Ceramics
The materials on this topic are primarily published reports, books and dissertations related to ceramic production, trade ceramics, and shipwreck and land excavated ceramics as relates to art history and archaeology.

2. Chinese, Japanese and Korean Ceramics
Most of the publications are excavation reports of kiln and shipwreck sites, but also included are some books and catalogs on ceramics preserved and displayed in museums.

3. Middle Eastern Ceramics
The materials on this topic relate to the ceramics produced in the Middle Eastern region of the Islamic Empires which existed from the 16th to 18th centuries.

4. European Ceramics
The materials on this topic relate to general characteristics and trademarks of European ceramics, especially during the 19th to 20th centuries.
