The core collection focuses on ancient ceramics and consists of approximately 18,000 items, which were donated by Mr. Surat Osathanugrah, the founder of Bangkok University. Most of the ceramics were made at the kilns in Thailand, and also included are ceramics made at the kilns in China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Ceramic Shard Archive

The ceramic shards are a separate collection focusing on shards, kiln wasters, and kiln furniture that were made in Thailand, specifically at the Si Satchanalai, Sukhothai, Kalong and Wang Nua kilns in central and northern Thailand. Additionally, some of the shards are from the Phnom Dangrek kilns in Thailand, and some are ceramic reproductions.
